Day 1 – Madurai
Arrive at Madurai Railway Station/Airport, refresh and begin your pilgrimage with visits to two important Murugan temples. Visit Palamudhircholai Murugan Temple, situated amidst the scenic surroundings of the Alagar Hills, followed by Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple, one of the most revered Murugan temples in Tamil Nadu. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 2 – Madurai to Tiruchendur & Return
Travel from Madurai to Tiruchendur, approximately 180 km / 3.5 hours. Visit the magnificent Tiruchendur Murugan Temple, one of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan and uniquely located along the coast. Spend time for darshan and temple exploration before returning to Madurai, approximately 180 km / 3.5 hours. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 3 – Madurai to Palani to Swamimalai/Kumbakonam
Travel from Madurai to Palani, approximately 130 km / 2.5 hours. Visit the famous Palani Murugan Temple, situated on a hill and dedicated to Lord Dhandayuthapani. Continue your journey towards Swamimalai and visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple, another important sacred abode of Lord Murugan. Later, proceed to Kumbakonam for your overnight stay.
Day 4 – Kumbakonam to Tiruttani to Chennai
After breakfast, travel from Kumbakonam towards Tiruttani and visit the revered Tiruttani Murugan Temple, completing your visit to the six sacred Aarupadai Veedu temples. Continue towards Chennai for your onward journey. Depending on your travel arrangements, you can be dropped at Chennai Airport, Chennai Railway Station or your hotel.
