We collect information you provide when creating an account, making a booking, requesting a quote, or contacting support. This may include name, email, phone number, passport details, payment references (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers), travel preferences, and support messages.
We use your data to process bookings, communicate booking status, provide customer support, improve our services, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud. Booking data is shared with travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, etc.) only as required to fulfil your booking.
We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (bookings), legitimate interests (service improvement and security), legal obligation, and consent where required (e.g. marketing communications where applicable).
We retain booking and payment records as required for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution. Account deletion requests are processed via your profile settings; some records may be retained where law requires.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us at contact@bookmygetaway.co.uk. You may also lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK).
We use essential cookies for sessions and security. Analytics tools (such as Google Tag Manager) may set cookies to understand site usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secure payment processing via Stripe. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or supplier agreements that meet applicable data protection requirements.
